As I write this first post I'm humbled at the opportunity to connect more directly with my friends and readers. I wanted to start with a quote and, after searching for some time, found the one above to be quite properly fitting. As of today, I am largely unknown in the literary world. I've completed and self published my first novel and have begun to branch out on various forms of social media...even creating this blog. The current times are, to say the least, interesting. I'm attempting to digitally market a book in the middle of an election in the united states of America and most of the posts I see online from others are so politically charged that I find myself being dragged, not always begrudgingly, into a fray of words being thrown that are not necessarily the ones I came to offer.

On Twitter, I follow authors, publishers, reviewers and all things book related...only to find that 90% of their postings are rants against or for their desired candidate. I wonder if and when literature will once again take the forefront. I get it. I understand. I do not mean to complain. One must do ones best to make a difference in the world and follow ones heart with all its conviction. I strive to do the same and cannot fault another for it.

I may have entered this universe at what some may see as an inopportune time, but I entered it at the time that I was intended to enter it. I will be persistent. I will write, and post and share with you all...and perhaps some of you will join me. Like those little drops of water, small an un-assuming as they are, over time, we can move our mountains, one rock at a time, together.
